Barranca del Cobre (Copper Canyon)

Deeper and wider than the Grand Canyon, this system of six interconnected canyons was carved by tributaries of the Rio Fuerte through the Sierra Madre Occidental. The Tarahumara people have called these copper-walled gorges home for over 2,000 years.
